Band and Choir in Ashley

Ashley Voices & Music Choir meets on Mondays at the Chapel in Weslyan Road, Ashley starting at 1:15pm. The choir sings various styles of music but is most at home with 16thC part-songs both sacred and secular. Another love of the choir is for arrangements of spirituals; the choir sings traditional carols including lesser known ones from the Georgian era as well as earlier/later etc

Membership is through arrangement with the choral director

AMS Band meets at the Ashley Catholic Church Hall (The Oddfellows Hall) on Fridays at 6:30pm - we practise and perform various styles of music including: Renaissance, Contemporary Classical, Jazz, Baroque and Classical. We are a chamber ensemble consisting of mainly woodwind and strings which has variously at different included clarinet, flute, alto clarinet, tenor sax, violin, cello, viola. We often accompany Ashley Voices & Music Choir; there is a special place for Christmas music in the band's previous repertoire
